Last,
but not least
Since
this semester is almost over I thought it might be a good idea to remind
you of some of the things you need to do before leaving Finland.
The starting packages should be returned to the Student Union.
You can check its weekly open hours on the Student Union’s door.
In order to keep the Storage
functioning, please return all the things you have borrowed in good
condition. If there are any items you do not wish to take back home with
you, the starting package storage is happy to have them. If you have any
questions please contact Johanna Kärki (tyy-kvsihteeri@utu.fi).
Before leaving you may want to
unsubscribe from the ESN mailing list. This is done as follows: Send an
e-mail to majordomo@utu.fi. Leave the subject line blank and write as
message write to the first line ONLY “unsubscribe tyy-esn” and to
the second line “end” (without the quotation marks). When unsubscribing
please remember that you are dealing with a computer, which will not
understand the text if there is something extra in your message! Or you
can also unsubscribe from the ESN mailing list via the Student Union’s
web page www.tyy.fi. In the front page, click “sähköpostilistat”.
In the end of that page is the section “sähköpostilistoille
liittyminen”. Choose “eroa listalta” and “tyy-esn@utu.fi” from
the list below. Then write your e-mail address (“sähköpostiosoitteesi”)
and hit “lähetä”. This is also a great chance to practise your
Finnish skills!
Remember to return all the
library books you have at your possession. When the course library is
closed its books can be returned to the letter slit of the main library.
To make sure your credits are transferred correctly the International
Office will need your student passport. Mark all your passed courses on
the passport and return it to the International Office before you leave.
And please, fill the Student
union’s evaluation form for exchange students before leaving. With
your comments you can make a difference for the future international
students in Turku.
