AEGEE Turku/Åbo
AEGEE-Turku/Åbo is a bilingual association that is open to both Finnish and foreign students from all two universities in Turku: University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University.
AEGEE Turku/Åbo organizes different kind of happenings, for example theme parties of different countries (Turkish food night), movie nights, cottage trips and lots more. See more from calendar of events.
Meetings are usually held in pub Proffan Kellari (Rehtorinpellonkatu 6). Sometimes meetings are arranged at somebody’s home. Meetings are held during the autumn and spring semester, but not in the summer time.
How to apply for Summer University 2011
Remember: You must apply before the deadline 24.4.2011.

Now you’ve checked out some nice options and you want to apply for them.
Here’s how it goes:
- Join your local, AEGEE-Turku, antenna by paying the fee (yearly member fee is 20 €)
- Create a profile in the AEGEE intranet
- The board of AEGEE-Turku will authorize your membership after you’ve paid the fee
- When you’ve been authorized and you have a working intranet account you can login and submit your Summer University application here
That was all, how simple was that! =)
The application letter:
- Write from the heart, they will notice it!
- Look how they have described the ideal participant
- Try to stand out from the crowd with your application
After the preselection algorithm has assigned each applicant a SU, the Incoming Control Panels of the locals will be enabled. The organizers of the SUs will receive the motivation letters from the applicants that were preselected for their SU and they will make the final selections!
How will I know if I got into a Summer University?
You get informed in any case: if you are selected, if you are not selected or if you are in the waiting list.
