Slööri

The subcamp Slööri is made of Sun yellow hot sand, lively days and happy people. Welcome to stay in Slööri or just to visit. Slööri is bilingual (Swedish and Finnish).

What the heck is "Slööri"? Slööri is a subcamp where the scouts of Häme, Varsinais- Suomi, Satakunta and Finno-Swedes are located. The leaders of Slööri are Juha Alhola> and Ulla Piikkilä.

At Slööri you can perform either sea or land activities because half of the program valleys are land valleys and half are sea valleys.

Tuuli

The Wind is getting stronger all the time!

We started with a weak wind and it will become a storm by the summer. But this storm is not dangerous. Not at all! This tempest will take you a lovely nest called The Village Tuuli. Tuuli will take you to smell new winds. You won't have to go against the wind! Instead Š you will be gone with the wind!

The Tuuli subcamp offers spare time activities to it's campers. Some of the activities will be for ex. the printing of the Tuuli logo by silk printing and burning, leather work, environmental art, archery, labyrinth, rambo track etc. Members of other subcamps are also welcome to the program spots. You'll find more information in the troop folder.

Kipinä

Revontuli (The Northern lights)

According to an old story the northern lights are born when the Northern Troll puts wood in the open fire.

At Loisto the Northern lights are born when scoutdistricts Lapland, Kainuu, Northern Pohjanmaa and Central Pohjanmaa put together their forces.

Lap huts and a real reindeer "Oskari" make Revontuli special (a couple of Oskari's colleagues will be eaten up during a festival...).

The five progremme valleys provide you with something to do: Hiitola (physical exercises and adventures), Hälläpyörä (creativity and imagination), The North (traditions and habits), Lever Arm (camping skills and handicrafts) and Rescue (first aid skills and rescue operations)

. One of the specialities at Revontuli is an Indian tribe living in the subcamp area.

The hikes are the best of Loisto - the others do not provide church boat rowing, for example. Leaders are spoilt in many ways. You can choose the most interesting one among the various LaplandExpress courses Š why not go gold washing, or say "yes, please" to How to say "No" course.
